It is a designated Sunday (traditionally a Sunday evening) where people in the church are invited to someone’s house for a light meal and a few hours together. Sometimes they play games; sometimes they visit. It is a fun time getting to know each other better.
You decide if you want to participate. We hope you do! You must sign up to be included, but all, including children, are invited.
When is it?
September 11, at a time to be arranged by your host
How do we get involved?
A sign-up form has been placed in your mailbox and there are extras on the table at the back of the sanctuary.
You indicate on the form if you want to be a host or a guest (don’t feel bad if you are unable to host! We cannot all be hosts, and you can take your turn another time!)
You indicate if you will be able to do the noon meal or evening meal
You indicate how many people you can accommodate as a host or how many people from your family will attend as guests
Place your form in the basket at the back of the church
A committee will randomly assign guests to hosts, keeping in mind the number that can be accommodated
You will be notified who your guests are or who your host is
